Job summary

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Scrubber Operator to maintain baghouse and scrubber operations at the Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO. You will ensure proper ventilation and emission collection and maximize operations availability while meeting environmental standards.

We offer $28.59/hour, a 5% targeted monthly bonus, day-one insurance benefits, and 80 hours vacation after 90 days. On-the-job training with career growth opportunities is provided; rotating shift schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of chemical names and properties.
• Experience operating large equipment and PLC systems.
• Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitor bag house ventilation and collection systems; maintain according to specs.
• Operate and monitor PLC controlling equipment for bag house and scrubber via computer.
• Complete pre-shift inspection for machinery and equipment.
• Perform maintenance tasks: tightening, lubrication, cleaning, bag changes, belt/shear bolt replacement.
• Conduct environmental monitoring; read pressures, control SO2 emissions, monitor flows.
• Serve as backup to load and haul materials.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure safe conditions.
• Identify feed/slag materials for proper storage and processing.
• Follow EHS policies; report unsafe acts, incidents, deviations; support continuous improvement.

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Scrubber Operator to maintain baghouse and scrubber operations to ensure maximum operations availability while meeting all environmental standards by providing proper ventilation and emission collection. This rotating shift position will be located at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO.

Education & Experience:

• 3 years progressive experience in manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Working knowledge of chemical names and properties.
• Familiarity with operating large equipment, Moxys, Spotter truck, industrial forklifts, etc.
• Basic computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, etc.
• Background in PLC operation and monitoring websites.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor bag house ventilation and collection systems; maintain according to operational specifications.
• Operate and monitor PLC controlling equipment for the bag house and scrubber via computer.
• Complete pre-shift inspection for machinery and equipment.
• Complete maintenance tasks such as tightening, lubricating, cleaning, bag changing, and belt and shear bolt replacement.
• Perform environmental monitoring; obtain pressure readings, control SO2 emissions, and monitor tribal flows.
• Serve as backup to load and haul materials.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Identify different types of feed and slag material to ensure proper storage and processing.
• Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment, Physical & Lifting:

• Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, respirator, hearing protection and eyewear and to work near moving, mechanical parts, and is exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Frequently works in confined spaces and is exposed to wet, humid conditions and extreme heat. Occasionally exposed to vibration and required to work with fall protection (always when working at heights of 4 feet or more).
• Regularly requires hearing, walking, reaching with hands/arms, and climbing or balancing; frequently requires grasping, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, repetitive movement, and moving up and down from/to a sitting position on the floor. Occasionally requires sitting, talking, pushing, standing, and driving. Requires clarity of vision of 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Regularly required to lift up to 75 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
