Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Hamilton, OH is seeking a mechanically skilled 1st shift machine set-up/operator to run screw machines. You will join a team that values quality workmanship, safety, and continuous growth within a supportive, employee-centered environment.

As a machine operator, you will load bar stock, perform tool changes, set-ups, and routine maintenance; ensure products meet specifications; assist teammates with troubleshooting and training; and contribute to a culture of reliability

Qualifications

  • Mechanically inclined and able to handle tools and machinery with quick problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to perform standard mathematical calculations for machine adjustments.
  • Strong reasoning to think through problems and make effective decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate screw machines, load bar stock, fill fluids, and remove chips.
  • Perform setup on screw machines, including tooling changes and tool sharpening.
  • Ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist other operators with tool changes, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Assist in training others on operation and setup of screw machines.

Job Overview
1st Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am to 4:00pm

Individual will run Acme and Davenport screw machines. This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified mechanically inclined machine set-up/operator to work with a great company that offers excellent benefits. A Day In The Life
  • Responsible for operation of screw machines; including, loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine.
  • Responsible for performing setup on screw machines; including, tooling changes, tool sharpening, and tool adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications.
  • Responsible for conformance with quality specifications.
  • Ability to assist other operators in performing tool changes, trouble shooting, and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of screw machines.
