Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Screening Officer for Hayes to help create a safe and secure environment for people and property. You’ll use screening tools and observe activities, reporting as needed while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in datacentre operations or equivalent security industry experience.
• Right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Must have a valid driving licence
• Must have a SIA Licence
• Be contactable days, nights and weekends for short notice cover
• Good fitness levels
• Reliable and great team player
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and apply the Screening SOP.
• Require datacentre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or wand for secure area access
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel
• Perform hand-held wand searches and walk-through metal detection searches
• Follow safe work practices and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety
• Demonstrate integrity, vigilance and helpfulness, and recognise risk in the workplace
• Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoints

We’re Hiring: Screening Officer!

Location: Hayes, UB3 4QR
Pay: £21.09 per hour
Hours: Average 30 hours a week - week1 - 2 Days \\ week2 - 3 Days

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Adhere to and apply the Screening Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Require datacentre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or wand for secure area access
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel
• Perform hand-held wand searches and walk-through metal detection searches
• Follow safe work practices and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety.Notify superiors of any unsafe working conditions
• Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company
• Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoints
