Job summary

Vomela is seeking a Screen Press Operator for the 2nd shift (4 10-hour shifts) to independently operate screen-printing presses, perform maintenance, and produce high-quality printed products that meet specifications. Responsibilities include loading inks, substrates, aligning screens for accurate registration, monitoring runs, and inspecting outputs for defects.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and printing or press experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow job tickets and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure print quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down manual or automatic screen-printing presses.
• Load screens, inks, substrates, and materials per job specifications.
• Align screens for accurate registration, color matching, and ink coverage.
• Monitor press operations and adjust parameters to maintain quality.
• Inspect finished products for defects and consistency with standards.
• Maintain ink viscosity and color accuracy throughout runs.
• Perform routine press cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Follow job tickets and production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Assist with reclaiming screens and general shop tasks as needed.

Job Summary

The Screen Press Operator is responsible for independently operating a screen-printing press, performing routine maintenance, and producing high-quality printed products that meet established production standards and customer specifications.

• Set up, operate, and break down manual or automatic screen-printing presses.
• Load screens, inks, substrates, and materials according to job specifications.
• Align screens and ensure accurate registration, color matching, and ink coverage.
• Monitor press operation during production runs and adjust as needed.
• Inspect printed products for quality, defects, and consistency.
• Maintain ink viscosity, color accuracy, and print standards throughout runs.
• Perform routine press cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Follow job tickets and production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Assist with reclaiming screens and general shop tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Critical Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Printing or screen press experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow job instructions and production tickets.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.
• Ability to maintain visual attention to detail and product quality.
