Job summary

Elim Shores is seeking a Scratch Cook to join our culinary team in Eden Prairie, MN. You will prepare high-quality meals from scratch, lead a small team, and help deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Shifts are Fri-Mon, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, with no late-night shifts. Prior scratch cooking experience and a ServSafe certification are valued, with senior living or country club background a plus. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team to deliver fast, friendly service to residents.

• Review planned meals and note special diet requests.
• Monitor stock levels and highlight high-demand items.
• Participate in meetings and training to maintain regulatory standards.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Experience in senior living, corporate dining, or country clubs is preferred, and ServSafe certification is a plus. Wage Range

$19.40 - $23.65 /hour dependent on experience

Scratch Cook Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by leading and motivating team members to provide fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. This will also include feature/specials and grill service. (Typically by scratch)
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Review planned meals and take note of special diet requests.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Scratch Cook Qualifications

• Prior experience in scratch cooking required.
• Prior Corporate Dining, Senior Living, or Country Club experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
