Salt & Straw is hiring Ice Cream Scoopers in Glendale to create memorable guest experiences. You will guide guests through flavors, share ingredient stories, and ensure smooth shop operations.

You should enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and be committed to hospitality and kindness. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work at least 3 shifts per week, including 2 closing shifts.
• Experience in food service, retail, or hospitality is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for every guest.
• Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover their next favorite scoop.
• Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
• Process transactions accurately and assist with online and delivery orders.
• Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
• Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across the shop.
• Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.

What You'll Do

Scoopers are at the heart of the Salt & Straw experience, creating memorable moments for guests while helping the shop run smoothly.
