Job summary

Blue Sky Innovators, Inc. in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Specialist to manage security for highly sensitive environments, including SCIF and SAPF.

The role supports the PM and PSO, conducting reviews, accreditation, and training while maintaining security documentation. The position requires DoW SAP security experience, policy interpretation of JAFAN, and three years of relevant work in security management.

Qualifications

• Three years of current experience within the last five years applying major policy guidance documentation with regards to the JAFAN for the DoW/DAF and security management of systems and facilities.
• Three years of current experience within the last five years conducting security inspections/reviews and overseeing security matters including communications security and physical security requirements.
• Experience reviewing documents for appropriate classification and providing initial, annual and exit security training.
• Familiar with DoW SAP security policies and requirements such as SAP Security Manuals (DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4).
• TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews, inspections and accreditation for the SCIF and SAPF.
• Process visitor requests and maintain security databases and files.
• Review documents for classification and provide initial, annual and exit security training.
• Assist PSO and ISSO with security requirements including network and physical security.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and DoD SAP security policies.
