The focus is independent working and leading projects while performing technically diverse assignments. Supports the laboratory/testing to ensure the quality of raw and finished goods. Performs Environmental Monitoring, Cleaning Validations, and other Sanitation responsibilities. Analyzes and interprets data, writes reports. Must have good written and verbal communication abilities. Fully competent and proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instruments.

Primary Responsibilities
  • All basic microbiological testing and media preparation, Capable of testing lactospores and anaerobes. Environmental Monitoring, Cleaning Validations, and Sanitation responsibilities
  • Perform calibrations and maintain calibration records.
  • Be able to organize and prioritize samples to be tested.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and efficient working environment, preforms peer to peer audits, and reviews others' work as a flexible, team member, keeping detailed and complete records, analytical minded, and effectively comes to root cause.
  • 60% Environmental Monitoring, Sanitation, report writing
  • 40% Daily sample set up/media prep
Qualifications Required
  • BS in a scientific area with 7-10 years of experience
  • Microbiology, biology, or chemistry and Sanitation experience preferred
  • HACCP certified required
  • Knowledge: microbiology, math, chemistry, and testing natural products and ingredients. GMP and GLP requirements, environmental monitoring and allergen testing.
  • Skill: Capable of using laboratory equipment and documentation systems.
  • Ability: Write reports, communicate results, work as a team member.
  • Results-driven with a focus on delivering successful capital projects
