Job summary

Waters seeks a Scientist II to support projects from problem solving to process validation. You will run bench and manufacturing-scale experiments, analyze data and present results to cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes SOP development, data analysis, and collaboration with Regulatory, Quality, and R&D. A BS in a related science, 3 years in pharma/medical devices, and bilingual English/Spanish are required.

Qualifications

• BS in biology, microbiology, biochemistry or related field.
• 3 years in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with microbiological labs and handling infectious samples is a plus.
• Experience developing or improving manufacturing processes for medical devices or pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments on bench or manufacturing scale for data generation/analysis.
• Apply scientific/engineering theories to project assignments.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Interpret results and present to cross-functional teams to determine actions.
• Plan and execute experiments, including follow-up work as needed.
• Establish and maintain SOPs and logbooks for troubleshooting and data gathering.
• Assess changes to manufacturing processes and provide feedback for evaluation.
• Support strategy development of process and material qualifications.
• Prepare presentations and reports.
