  • Conduct rigorous ex vivo and in vivo preclinical studies of lead cellular therapy candidates with meticulous data collection and analysis.
  • Establish and utilize patient-derived organoids and patient-derived xenografts for antigen discovery and preclinical testing.
  • Perform rigorous data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results at lab meetings; contribute to manuscripts and conference presentations.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency, creativity, collaboration, and independent thought on problems of moderate to large scope.
  • Work with minimal supervision and maintain wide latitude for independent judgment.

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Contributes technical proficiency and scientific creativity. Works both collaboratively and independently.

The Freed-Pastor laboratory at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an exceptionally motivated and experienced PhD-level scientist (Scientist II) to join Cancer Grand Challenges - Team ILLUMINE to investigate the Cancer Dark Proteome and drive the development of innovative cellular therapies for pancreatic cancer. This position is primarily a hands-on bench role focused on rigorous data generation and direct experimental execution. In addition to bench work, the ideal candidate will take ownership of essential laboratory operations and coordinate efforts across this multi-institutional team. The successful candidate will be integral to a multidisciplinary team focused on the discovery, preclinical evaluation, and advancement towards clinical trials of novel immunotherapies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
