Job summary

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization focused on delivering new medicines to patients faster. The Scientist I will work in the bioanalytical laboratory to develop and perform assays on biological samples from pre-clinical and clinical studies at our Whitesboro, New York site.

In this full-time, on-site role, you will quantify biomarkers and NCEs/NBEs in tissues and fluids, perform routine batch analyses, and ensure compliance with FDA GLP and international

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Biology, Chemistry, or Biotechnology; able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Familiarization with basic laboratory operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of binding assay formats and platforms; strong communication, attention to detail, and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform assays on biological samples from pre-clinical and clinical trials.
• Validate quantification of biomarkers, NCEs and NBEs in tissues, fluids, or matrices.
• Conduct routine batch analysis of biomarkers, NCEs, and NBEs using standard analytical techniques.
• Ensure laboratory work complies with FDA and international GLP and GCP standards.

The Role:

Position: Scientist I

Time-Type: Full-Time

Location: Whitesboro, New York

What you will do:

• Under general supervision, the Scientist in the bioanalytical laboratory will be responsible for developing and performing assays on biological samples from pre‑clinical and clinical trials.
• The Scientist will validate the quantification of Biomarkers, New Chemical and Biological Entities in tissues, biological fluids or chemical matrices.
• Perform assays for routine batch analysis of Biomarkers, NCE and NBE in biological fluids/chemical matrix involving simple to complex analytical techniques.
• Perform laboratory work to FDA and international regulatory GLP and GCP standards.

What you need: We are seeking candidates with a Bachelors in Biology, Chemistry, or Biotechnology and the ability to work in a fast paced collaborative environment. Familiarization with basic laboratory operations is preferred. Knowledge of binding assay formats and platforms, effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and prioritize work is required.

Salary range: $46,864.00-$58,580.00
