Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a qualified professional for a pharma analytical role focused on routine testing and cGMP compliance.

You will perform HPLC, TLC, FTIR, pH, and UV‑Vis analyses; update SOPs and MOAs via Documentum; troubleshoot instrumentation; ensure data integrity and compliant documentation; experience with Empower data systems is preferred; and work closely with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Biology or related physical science.
• 1–4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Hands-on experience with chromatographic methods and related chromatography data systems (e.g. Empower).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong English communication in a heavily regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate routine testing using instrumental methods (HPLC, TLC, FTIR, pH, UV‑Vis) to meet departmental objectives.
• Update SOPs, MOAs, Specifications through Documentum as delegated by supervisor.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation by applying problem solving skills.
• Provide guidance to Associate Scientist personnel when necessary.
• Document testing in compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Manage work and time based on departmental priorities using own judgement and objective reasoning.
• Peer review of data to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Job Summary

Salary Range: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be able to articulate work related issues clearly and effectively to management and peers.
• Performs accurate routine testing utilizing instrumental methods of analysis (HPLC, TLC, FTIR, pH, UV-Vis) with emphasis on chromatography to meet departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Possess a B.S. in Chemistry, Biology or related physical science.
• 1-4 years of related experience in pharmaceutical industry and a familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Must have hands‑on experience and knowledge of chromatographic methods and related chromatography data systems (i.e. Empower).
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Must be flexible with continually changing projects and priorities.

• The successful candidate must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English to perform the essential functions of the position, including independently understanding policies, procedures, training materials, and workplace communications written in English due to our heavily regulated work environment.
