Job summary

Pace® is seeking a Scientist I to perform and oversee projects in the wet chemistry department of our environmental testing laboratory. Join a team dedicated to delivering accurate data and improving environmental health and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear PPE (lab coat, safety glasses and gloves) with PPE provided by Pace®.
• Pace® emphasizes accuracy and quality data in environmental testing.

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (Sat/Sun off) Compensation: $16.00 per hour

What you’ll do

• Clean, maintain and calibrate instruments
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation on all laboratory work

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses and gloves; all PPE provided by Pace®).
