Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated scientist with lab-level genomics expertise to join the Cellular Biomarkers Genomics group in Collegeville, PA. You will drive method development using NGS, PEA, single-cell analyses, and qPCR to support clinical studies, ensuring GCP-compliant SOPs.

You will work onsite five days a week on a 12-month W2 contract, with potential extensions, and must be eligible to work in the US (citizenship/GC EAD/H4 EAD).

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field or BS/MS with 1–2 years genomics experience.
• Experience with current genomic platforms (RNA-Seq, NGS, proteomics) and data interpretation.
• Onsite work in Collegeville, PA for 12 months on a W2 contract.

Responsibilities

• Generate data to support disease heterogeneity, MOA, and patient response at molecular level.
• Develop and troubleshoot genomic/proteomic assays (NGS, PEA, qPCR, dd-PCR).
• Validate assays and perform sample analysis for clinical studies.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, agile, and experienced scientist with lab level expertise in genomic technologies to join the Cellular Biomarkers Genomics group within the Biomarker and Bioanalytical Platform (BBP) department based in Collegeville, PA. Our group is responsible for development and use of genomics and proteogenomic biomarker assays in clinical studies. You will generate data to support the understanding of disease heterogeneity, drug’s mechanism of action, and patient response to treatment at the molecular level through application of advanced genomic technologies, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Olink Proximity Extension Assay (PEA), single cell analysis, qPCR, dd-PCR etc. You will conduct and oversee all aspects of the method development, troubleshooting, validation, and sample analysis for clinical studies requiring genomic and proteogenomic technologies’ endpoints including reagent selection/optimization, sample preparation, sample acquisition and data processing. You will ensure all work is conducted in compliance with GCP regulations and follows the appropriate SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Genomics/ Proteomics: You will generate data to support the understanding of disease heterogeneity, drug’s mechanism of action, and patient response to treatment at the molecular level through application of advanced genomic/ proteomic technologies, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Olink PEA assays, qPCR, dd-PCR etc.
• Innovation: Evaluation of novel genomics/ proteomic techniques and technologies (i.e. single cell RNA-Seq, Olink PEA) to inform biomarker development and validation. Working in a matrix environment, identify and execute the validation of assays using human cells and tissues to enhance human translation and predictive value.
• Disease Biomarker Assay Development: You will conduct and oversee all aspects of the method development, troubleshooting, validation, and sample analysis for clinical studies requiring genomic technologies endpoints including reagent selection/optimization, sample preparation, sample acquisition and data processing. You will ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with GCLP regulations and follows the appropriate SOPs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the company.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, proteomics or related field) or a B.S./M.S. degree with 1-2 years post-graduation experience in genomics, NGS, molecular or cellular biology specifically.
• Scientific experience with current genomic analytical platforms (e.g., Single Cell RNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, Proteogenomic, qPCR, dd-PCR etc) and understanding of genomics and proteomics data.
• Experience supporting the design and interpretation of data from several of the following methods/assays: DNA and RNA sequencing technologies, Olink PEA Assays, single cell sequencing, and other emerging genomics/ proteogenomic technologies and commercial platforms.
• Able to work fully onsite in Collegeville, PA 5 days per week over the course of a 12-month W2 contract with possible extensions.
• US Citizen, Permanent Resident, GC EAD Holder or H4 EAD Holder able and willing to work directly on Insight Global's W2. No 1099, subcontracting, C2C, or employment sponsorship.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in designing, troubleshooting, and implementing Olink PEA assays, single cell RNA-Seq applications (e.g., 10x Genomics, BD Rhapsody, Parse), or similar high content techniques.

Compensation

$65,000 to $95,000 annually, paid on hourly basis.

No subcontracting or sponsorship of immigration or employment visas.
