Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is seeking a PFAS Scientist for a Tue-Sat, 5:00 AM–2:00 PM shift in South Carolina. You will conduct hands‑on analysis in our environmental testing lab, focusing on environmental contaminants using GC, HPLC, ICP, and related methods.

You'll document results, prep samples, and calibrate instruments as part of a committed team protecting communities. Training is provided; your curiosity and drive help advance our mission to safeguard health and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM field required.
  • Experience operating GC, HPLC, ICP and other lab instruments.
  • Ability to document procedures and results accurately.
  • Willingness to work Tue-Sat shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operate GC, HPLC, ICP and other instruments to analyze samples.
  • Analyze air, water and soil samples for contaminants.
  • Record procedures, observations and results clearly.
  • Clean, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines.

Compensation:$18.00 per hour

Hours:Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, orother STEM related degrees— or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.We are happy to provide training!
  • Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves—all provided by Pace®)
