Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Scientist 1 for our PFAS Analytical department in California. In this role you will perform hands-on analysis in our environmental testing laboratory, ensuring data integrity that supports environmental health.

You will work with established chemistry methods, maintain instruments, and document results. A chemistry-related degree or equivalent experience plus labs experience is required; Pace provides training and PPE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 8 Chemistry Credit Hours that include labs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, with PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, support, and oversee the analysis of environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
  • Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.

Compensation: $20.20 per hour

The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity.
