Job summary

Sotalent is seeking a Scientist 1 to perform hands-on analysis of air, water, and soil samples, and to support the production of accurate environmental data. You will operate, calibrate, and maintain instruments, follow strict procedures, and document results with attention to detail.

The position is full-time, with Sunday–Thursday shifts 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Competitive hourly pay of $19 and benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another relevant STEM discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong interest in laboratory science and environmental testing.
• Ability to learn and apply established analytical methods and laboratory procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Perform, support, and oversee the analysis of air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Operate, clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.

• Maintain organized records and contribute to the overall quality and integrity of laboratory data.

• Compensation: $19.00 per hour
