Guidehouse is seeking a Scientific Program Analyst in Rockville, MD to support NINDS Movement Disorders and Neurodegeneration initiatives. The role includes planning meetings, preparing materials, and performing literature reviews to inform decision-making.

  • Experience conducting literature searches using PubMed, Web of Science, or related databases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and with scientific and administrative stakeholders.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal/public trust.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate scientific meetings, workshops, conferences, and teleconferences.
  • Develop agendas, prepare materials, document minutes, track action items and milestones.
  • Support planning and management of MDN research portfolio initiatives.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings for reports and briefings.
  • Prepare scientific materials including graphs, posters, and briefing documents.

Job Family:Data Science & AnalysisTravel Required:NoneClearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:We are looking for a Scientific Program Analyst to provide scientific, analytical, and programmatic support to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), Division of Neuroscience, with a focus on the Movement Disorders and Neurodegeneration (MDN) Cluster. This position supports research portfolios involving Parkinson’s disease, Lewy body dementias, multiple system atrophy, dystonia, essential tremor, biomarkers, genetics, epidemiology, and related preclinical and clinical studies. This is a full-time position located in Rockville, MD.Perform logistical planning and coordination for scientific meetings, workshops, conferences, teleconferences, and special projects.Develop agendas, prepare meeting materials, document meeting minutes, track action items, and monitor project milestones and deadlines.Support the planning, execution, and management of scientific and programmatic initiatives within the Movement Disorders and Neurodegeneration (MDN) research portfolio.Conduct literature reviews and scientific searches using PubMed, Web of Science, and other databases to identify and summarize relevant research findings.Research, analyze, and synthesize scientific and programmatic information for reports, briefings, presentations, and decision-making activities.Prepare scientific and programmatic materials, including presentations, graphs, charts, tables, abstracts, posters, reports, and briefing documents.Analyze portfolio, funding, and grantee progress data to support program evaluation, strategic planning, and reporting activities.Draft, review, edit, and proofread scientific and programmatic documents, correspondence, agendas, reports, and stakeholder communications.Coordinate communications and information exchange with principal investigators, program staff, stakeholders, and external partners.Maintain databases, spreadsheets, tracking systems, reference libraries, and other program management tools.Provide project management and administrative support by tracking deliverables, monitoring progress, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.Assist with strategic planning, funding plans, milestone development, budget tracking, and program lifecycle management.Represent the program at scientific meetings and conferences, provide updates to leadership, and support outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives.Develop recommendations to improve program operations, reporting processes, communication strategies, and data management tools.What You Will Need:Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science and Biopsychology, Biochemical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.Minimum of TWO (2) years’ experience supporting scientific research programs, program administration, portfolio analysis, or scientific project management.Experience conducting literature searches and scientific research using databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, and related resources.Experience analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing scientific and technical information.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Experience creating presentations, charts, graphs, dashboards, and briefing materials for scientific and executive audiences.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with scientific, technical, and administrative stakeholders.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “public trust”; candidates must receive approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred.What Would Be Nice To Have:Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or other federal biomedical research programs.Knowledge of Parkinson’s disease, Lewy body dementias, multiple system atrophy, dystonia, essential tremor, biomarkers, genetics, epidemiology, or related neuroscience research areas.Strong data collection, data analysis, and reporting skills.Familiarity with NIH systems, grants administration processes, and research reporting requirements.Project management experience supporting complex scientific or healthcare-related initiatives.The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$108,000.00.
