Job summary

AbbVie seeks a graphic designer to craft scientific PowerPoint presentations, format posters in InDesign, and develop complex figures that support business objectives. The role partners with the medical writing team within Global Scientific Publications to ensure medical accuracy and on-time deliverables.

You will design templates, icons, data tables, infographics, and visual abstracts, while coordinating multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• BA degree in design or communications preferred with minimum 3-5 years of related graphic design experience; previous pharmaceutical or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of editorial design, information graphics and data visualization, and typography.
• Design thinking skills and ability to communicate scientific messages clearly to medical audiences.
• 3+ years in a creative, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment with multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• PowerPoint: Create and format complex scientific slides in accordance with brand and style guidelines.
• Adobe Create Suite: Create, layout, and format scientific posters and complex icons following brand guidelines.
• Provide timely development of assets and meet project deadlines.
• Prioritize workload and manage multiple projects to support team efficiency.
