Job summary

GSK is seeking a Scientific Leader for Discovery Integration Sciences to advance the world’s most efficient biopharma discovery platform. You will lead the System-of-LIAL-Systems initiatives, uniting computational intelligence with automated lab processes in adaptive learning cycles.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to design, deploy and operate integrated discovery solutions, mentor junior staff and drive cross-functional programs across R&D and Tech. Hybrid role in US.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with at least 3 years in a relevant scientific field with computational work.
• At least 5 years leading matrix teams across science and tech to deliver software projects.
• At least 5 years programming in Python (preferred) and/or R.
• Experience with modern software tools and CI/CD workflows.
• Minimum 3 years using cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) to build data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively develop and deploy LIAL Systems with scientists and tech teams.
• Translate scientific needs into system designs and platform capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional teams, mentoring others.
• Apply new methods and data sources to accelerate autonomous science with AI.
• Prepare presentations for project teams and decisions.
