The Scientific Content Specialist is responsible for the development of scientific and medical content and is further responsible for the content-related execution of educational meetings and projects. The Scientific Content Specialist is expected to interact closely with Account Services and other team members to produce timely and accurate deliverables in line with the strategy of the client. The Scientific Content Specialist learns from and cooperates with the other members of the Content team and reports to the Scientific Director of the Scientific Content Team.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Supporting and leading the development and execution of assigned projects, live and virtual meetings, and gaining familiarity with all projects across Aptitude Health’s lines of business.
- Interacting with clients to discuss goals, format, and content of educational programs, including:
- Developing content (agendas, discussion guides, speaker briefs) in collaboration with the client.
- Developing scientific/clinical slides in collaboration with faculty and client in a timely manner with appropriate referencing.
- Providing post-program meeting reports and/or executive summaries.
- Developing enduring materials such as abstract books, brochures, meeting programs.
- Collaborating with Account Services, BD, and other internal partners to assure timely implementation of meetings, programs, and projects.
- Daily duties concerning content/clinical management as directed by management.
- Adhering to internal operational procedures, and the multilevel quality-control content-review process.
- Familiarity with and goal to support relationship management of external stakeholders: client, and faculty experts.
- Attending and managing live scientific clinical meetings as required.

Education, Experience, and Skills
- An advanced degree (PhD, MS, MD, PharmD, PA-C, NP, RN considered with applicable experience) with a background in oncology/hematology or scientific background in another medical/pharmaceutical/biological field.
- Relevant experience: 0–3 years.
- Ability to translate scientific information into effective verbal and visual practical communication.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English).
- Results-oriented, accurate, and analytical.
- Self-motivated and able to work largely independently, and as part of a team.
- Travel may be required based on business needs (domestically and internationally) and attend virtual programs during evening hours as needed.
