Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in the United States is seeking a scientific professional to provide support for preclinical and clinical research or laboratory studies, manage study start-up tasks, and interpret and report study data.

Under supervision, you will assist in protocol generation, data validation, GLP compliance, and mentor less experienced staff while contributing to process improvements and collaboration across departments. Salary range posted is $74,000-$79,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
• 3–5 years of related experience in animal science, biology, chemistry/pharmacy, or similar laboratory environment.
• 1 year related experience in the contract research or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine study start-up procedures with cross-department interaction.
• Assist in generating study protocols and regulatory procedures.
• Assist in ensuring data is accurately recorded and verified.
• Review, interpret, and present basic data with senior staff assistance.
• Function as study director or project scientist under close guidance.
• Ensure GLP compliance and mentor less experienced staff.
