Cattaraugus-Allegany-Erie-Wyoming BOCES seeks a Science Teacher for Elm St Academy in Cuba (Division: Exceptional Education) to develop students' skills in general science, earth science, biology, chemistry and physics.

Under the School Principal’s supervision, you will design lessons, conduct experiments, assess progress, and maintain records while supporting diverse learners.

Required: state certification as a Science Teacher and a Bachelor's degree in education; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification/License: State Certification as a Science Teacher.
• Education: Bachelors in education; Masters preferred.
• Experience: Prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.

Responsabilités

• Teaches science topics per district curriculum (general science, earth science, biology, chemistry, physics).
• Promotes critical and creative thinking and analysis.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to support learning.
• Assesses student progress and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Maintains effective communication with students and parents; involves families.
• Coordinates with colleagues; participates in faculty meetings and committees.
