Qualifications

• Demonstrated post-secondary teaching experience.
• Curriculum development experience.
• Experience delivering courses via distance learning.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Knowledge of North Slope Borough institutions and Iñupiat culture and values.
• Ability to interpret North Slope community values when representing the College.
• Ability to represent College actions to the North Slope community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain updated instructional materials and curricula.
• Maintain office hours as required.
• Contribute to post-secondary curriculum quality in the area of study.
• Serve as student academic advisor and evaluate student performance.
• Participate in professional development and college events.
• Attend meetings and prepare reports and presentations.
• Oversee degree/certificate programs and update as needed.
• Support college/community service and budgeting for assigned programs.
• Manage laboratory workload and safely handle reagents and cultures.
