Magical Beginnings is seeking a compassionate Schoolwide Support Teacher to assist infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms in Mansfield, MA. You’ll provide consistent care, support teachers, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role requires an energetic, flexible educator with certification or CDA, and at least one year of daycare/preschool experience. Typical duties include coverage, lesson prep, and daily classroom upkeep.

Qualifications

• EEC Preschool Teacher Certification or CDA is required; dual Infant/Toddler and Preschool certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in daycare, preschool, center-based or private school setting.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday until 5:00 pm and to spend extended periods on the floor with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute coverage when teachers are out, complete planning time, or cover bathrooms, lunch breaks, or other needs.
• Assist classroom teachers with opening/closing routines, cleaning, sanitizing, and prep for the next day.
• Support teachers during activities, prepare materials, engage with students during free play, supervise outdoor time, assist with bathroom needs and meals.
• Follow daily classroom schedule and maintain classroom cleanliness throughout the day.
• Encourage age-appropriate interactive activities and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.

Schoolwide Support Teacher (Floating Teacher / Teacher Assistant) – Early Childhood Education

We’re hiring a compassionate and flexible Schoolwide Support Teacher to join our team in Mansfield, MA. In this role, you’ll support infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, stepping in where needed to provide high-quality childcare and consistency for both children and teachers.

Qualifications

• EEC Preschool Teacher Certification or CDA required, dual Teacher Certification (Infant/Toddler and Preschool) preferred
• A minimum of one year experience in a daycare, preschool, center-based or private school setting
• An engaging and energetic demeanor and a love for helping young children meet and exceed their developmental goals
• Availability to work Monday through Friday until 5:00 pm required
• Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
• Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset

Responsibilities

• Providing substitute coverage when teachers are out sick, completing planning time, or needing a bathroom, lunch break, or other coverage throughout the day
• Assisting classroom teachers with the routine opening/closing of the classroom, including wiping down toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming, sanitizing after all children have left, and overall preparation for the next morning
• Providing classroom assistance to support teachers throughout the day, including preparing materials for lesson plans, engaging with students in free play, assisting with daily projects, supervising during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and lunch assistance, naptime assistance, etc.
• Adhering to the daily classroom schedule while assisting teachers
• Maintaining cleanliness of the school throughout the day, including cleaning staff kitchen areas, lobbies, staff and classroom bathrooms, using the zono machine (if applicable), emptying trash, disposing in dumpster, assisting with laundry, and organizing/putting away nap mats
• Encouraging children's participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities
• Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry
• Attending monthly staff meetings
• Creating a fun and safe learning environment
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents
