Job summary

Christ School’s Wellness Team is seeking a dedicated school nurse to join our on-campus Wellness Center. The role is full-time and salaried, reporting to the Head School Nurse/Director of the Wellness Center; responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive health services for our student population of about 305 boys.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs in North Carolina with pediatric/adolescent nursing experience, strong counseling skills, and knowledge of school

Qualifications

• Registered nurse licensed in North Carolina.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience as a school nurse preferred.
• Pediatric/adolescent nursing knowledge.
• Knowledge of health counseling and crisis intervention.
• Familiarity with health laws and school nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate school health services.
• Administer medications and manage sick calls for ~305 male students.
• Schedule medical appointments with local providers.
• Counsel students and collaborate with staff on care plans.
• Provide health education and develop individual health care plans.

Education

RN licensure in North Carolina

BSN preferred
