ADEL DESOTO MINBURN COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking dynamic bus drivers to provide safe, efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular programs. Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30-8:15a, 1:30-3:15p.

Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid chauffeur's license to drive a school van, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and completion of required trainings before interacting with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid chauffeur's license to drive a school van.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Completed required trainings before interacting with students.

Responsibilities

• Check bus before each operation for mechanical defects.
• Notify transportation director of mechanical failure or lateness.
• Maintain discipline on the bus and report undisciplined students.
• Enforce regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.
• Transports only authorized students.
• Discharges students only at authorized stops.
• Reports all accidents and completes required reports.
• Stay current on required trainings.
• Keep to assigned bus route & schedule.
• Keep assigned bus clean.
• Report to work for assigned schedules.
• Communicate to the transportation director if late or absent.
• Partner with transportation director when necessary to address parents.
• Exercise leadership on out-of-district school trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
