Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools is seeking a Behavioral Threat Assessment Coordinator to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors across the district. The role involves leading threat assessment efforts, coordinating with district leaders, and providing ongoing training on safety policies.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience in school safety or counseling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in school safety, school counseling or school mental health.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate threat assessment services for the district and lead members of the District Level Threat Assessment Team; manage high-risk students and coordinate services to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Participate in school threat assessments to ensure proper application of threat assessment instruments and information collection.
• Develop and deliver training across district and school stakeholders on safety, security, and threat assessment practices.
• Coordinate with other districts and agencies to provide information sharing and support.
• Update personnel and partners on policy changes related to safety and juvenile justice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
