Qualifikationen

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate or equivalent in SLP.
• Experience with Preschool–12 population incl. autism and hearing impairments.
• Experience with augmentative communication and assistive technology devices.
• Knowledge of evaluation instruments for articulation and language.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and eligibility in special education.

Aufgaben

• Follow district and state curricula and assessment requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, administration, parents and community agencies to support student needs.
• Work effectively with grade level/department/interdisciplinary teams.
• Regularly use technology as an instructional tool to enhance teaching and learning.
• Develop interdisciplinary approaches to delivering instructional outcomes.
• Maintain timelines for IEPs, Medicaid billing, progress reports, etc.
• Schedule IEP meetings and ensure IEP implementation for caseload students.
• Participate in building/district committees to develop curricular guidelines.
• Follow Board policies and building regulations.
• Perform other duties as directed by the principal or SPED administrator.
