AnthroMed Education is seeking a School Social Worker for a Transition Program in Howell, MI. This full-time role for the 2026-2027 school year involves a caseload of 18-26 year olds across two buildings and dedicated office space for sessions.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect social work services, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, group and individual sessions, and supporting transition-focused goals and community resource access.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Michigan School Social Work Certification (Required).
• Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including teachers, SLPs, OTs, and job coaches.
• Facilitate small group and individual sessions.
• Lead and support the implementation of BIPS and FBAs.
• Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs and focus on transitioning after special education services.
• Support students and families in accessing community resources.

About the Opportunity:

AnthroMed Education is looking for a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in Howell, MI. This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year. Caseload and Environment:

• Targeted Caseload: 18-26 year olds across two buildings
• Focus: Supporting students across a variety of needs as they work to transition into the work force and community as independently as possible. There will be less of a focus on academic goals, and more of a focus on functional and independent living goals.
• Dedicated Space: You will have a private, dedicated office space each in building to conduct sessions and meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to students in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support.
• Support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including teachers. SLPs, OTs, and job coaches.
• Facilitate small group and individual sessions.

Salary: $57,500 - $75,000 salary, based on experience and qualifications (paid weekly)
