Job summary

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for the 20252026 school year. This full-time role involves supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs while collaborating with educators, families, and community resources.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Social Work, a valid Social Worker license, and at least 1 year of school-based experience. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, IL license reporting may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategies
• Support the development and implementation of student IEPs and 504 plans as needed
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations
• Travel between multiple school sites as required

• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• Previous school-based experience is a plus
