Job summary

Soliant is seeking a School Social Worker for a contract opportunity in Minnesota. You will deliver direct counseling, support students’ well-being, and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to tailor strategies to student needs.

The role involves crisis intervention, coordination with outside agencies, and participation in IEP/504 planning to provide social-emotional insights in a diverse, inclusive school environment.

Qualifications

• Active Social Worker license (state-specific requirements may apply).
• Previous experience as a School Social Worker or in a comparable school-based setting.
• Strong understanding of social-emotional development in children and adolescents.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to provide crisis intervention, counseling, and resource referrals.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in school communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct services to students, including individual and group counseling, social skills development, and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop strategies tailored to student needs.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate, confidential records.
• Serve as a liaison between families, the school, and outside agencies to coordinate resources.
• Support efforts to foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive school climate.
• Participate in IEP or 504 planning meetings as needed, contributing social-emotional and behavioral insights.
