Qualifications

• Hold a master's degree in social work.
• Hold a valid SSW license issued by the LARA (including limited license) and MDE.
• Knowledge of special education processes and procedures is preferred.
• Candidates with experience working with at-risk students is preferred if applicable to the school.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual counseling sessions and classroom support to special education students.
• Develop and monitor student responses to behavior intervention plans.
• Complete psychosocial assessments to assist in the determination of special education services.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and communicate the results.
• Provide staff consultation on behavioral-emotional-environmental issues affecting student participation.
