Job summary

The Children’s Community Programs of Connecticut (CCP) is seeking a School Social Worker for Pathways Academy. You will support students through counseling, collaboration with families, and coordination of services to help them stay connected to education.

Requirements include an MSW from an accredited program, at least 6 graduate education credits, a 400-hour practicum, and CT School Social Worker certification (071). Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• At least 6 graduate-level credits in education.
• Completion of a supervised school-based practicum (minimum 400 hours).
• Valid Connecticut School Social Worker certification (071 endorsement).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling connected to each student's IEP and well-being.
• Review academic and behavioral records; engage students and families.
• Move IEP goals forward; provide services and monitor progress.
• Facilitate restorative circles to repair relationships and manage conflicts.
• Participate in student support and planning meetings; prepare reports.
• Discuss attendance concerns with students and parents; plan interventions.
• Coordinate with families and communities to access resources.
• Share strategies with educators and support school culture.
