Job summary

J.O. Combs Unified School District in San Tan Valley, AZ seeks a School Social Worker to join the Student Services team. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role is 10 months per year, with a base annual rate of $59,721 and 200 instructional days.

The ideal candidate will provide counseling, academic guidance, and coordination of resources, while collaborating with staff, parents, and community agencies to support students' educational success.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of satisfactory teaching experience preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of Arizona State Standards
• Demonstrates knowledge of current counseling and guidance strategies and techniques
• Demonstrates skill in instructional processes that facilitate integration of curriculum
• Demonstrates technology literacy
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills
• Must have or be able to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, through the Arizona Department of Public Safety

About the Role

The School Social Worker is a member of the instructional staff with responsibility for group educational and vocational guidance services to promote a positive educational environment for all children.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
