Qualifications

• Graduation from high school OR GED with a minimum of 2 years of security experience.
• Preferably 5-8 years of school security officer work experience.
• Valid District of Columbia Security Officers license issued by the Metropolitan Police Department.

Responsibilities

• Opens and unlocks the building and grounds for staff and students.
• Secures and locks the building at the end of the day.
• Conducts searches of personal property entering the building.
• Staffs various security posts as needed.
• Performs security walk-throughs of the school.
