Qualifications

• Pass background and employment screening.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Observe, document, and report security-related activity.
• Work independently while following established procedures.
• Previous school, security, military, law enforcement, or customer-service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the school entrance, guard booth, and designated access points.
• Control and monitor authorized vehicle and pedestrian entry; verify visitors, staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor and access logs; monitor alarms, gates, and systems as assigned.
• Maintain visible security presence and alertness; notify administration or emergency services when appropriate.
• Assist with traffic and access control during student arrival, dismissal, and events.
• Complete required reports and logs accurately and timely.
