Suffolk Public Schools Nansemond River High in Suffolk, Virginia seeks a Safety Monitor to maintain a safe and orderly school environment. This full-time position reports to the principal and supports daily security tasks, supervision, and crisis readiness.

Responsibilities include monitoring the front entrance, logging visitors, checking IDs, supervising halls and restrooms, and ensuring locked exits. Training will be provided to enhance school safety and emergency response.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of rules and regulations.
• Ability to deal effectively with students and teachers.
• Ability to recognize potential problems or emergencies.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsabilités

• Maintains safe and orderly environment of the school campus.
• Monitors front entrance access.
• Maintains visitor log, checks IDs, issues visitor passes.
• Monitors restrooms, halls, throughout the day.
• Ensures that all exit doors are locked at all times.
• Reports school violations to administration.
• Assists administration with safety drills and crisis situations.
• Attend formal training on school security.
• Other duties as assigned by the principal or supervisor.
