Moody ISD is seeking a School Police Officer to help safeguard students, staff, and visitors on campus. The role emphasizes enforcing laws, responding to emergencies, and building strong relationships with the school community.

The officer will patrol, investigate incidents, and develop safety protocols with district and law enforcement partners. A passion for education, safety, and youth mentorship is essential to maintain a secure learning environment.

Formación

• Active Peace Officer License issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
• Completion of 40-hour TCOLE School-Based Law Enforcement Training (or within 180 days).
• Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving record.
• Ability to meet district bonding requirements under Texas Education Code § 37.081(h).

Responsabilidades

• Patrol school grounds and facilities to ensure safety and security.
• Enforce local, state, and federal laws as well as school policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with immediate support and intervention.
• Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and local law enforcement to implement safety plans.
• Conduct investigations and document findings in reports.
• Provide guidance to students and promote positive behavior and conflict resolution.
• Educate staff and students on safety practices and community policing.
• Attend events and meetings to foster relationships with students and staff.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and investigations.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current on best practices in school safety.
