Job summary

TheraCare is seeking a School RN to provide direct nursing care in Brooklyn schools, with a structured Monday–Friday schedule and no nights or weekends. You'll administer medications, triage health issues, and work closely with parents and staff to support student well‑being.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, public health, or school-based settings.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with patient electronic health record systems and documentation standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Oversee the school health office including triage, injury response, and wellness checks.
• Monitor student health and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and supervisors regarding student care.
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with NYC DOE and NYS DOH guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to public health protocols and nursing standards.
