Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to support student health in an educational setting for the upcoming academic year as a 1:1 nurse and floating nurse. The assignment runs from late August into June, prioritizing student wellness, safety, and positive learning experiences.

The role requires an active RI RN license, pediatric or school health experience, strong communication, and the ability to ride the bus with students when needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Rhode Island.
• Experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and readiness to ride the bus with students if needed.
• Ability to respond promptly and adaptively in dynamic school settings.
• Experience with individualized healthcare plans and emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care and health monitoring for an assigned student (1:1 nurse) and as a floating nurse as required.
• Provide medication administration, treatments, and routine health procedures per healthcare plans.
• Collaborate with school staff, family, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated student care and safety.
• Support students on the bus as assigned, meeting medical needs during transit.
• Maintain clear, accurate health records in line with school protocols.
• Participate in health education, promote wellness, and contribute to school health initiatives.
