Job summary

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES in New York is seeking a 1.00 FTE School Psychologist at the Midlakes Education Center to support students and families. Qualifications

• Knowledge of trauma, illness, grief, crisis intervention and functioning level identification.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Promoting equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
• Provide targeted interventions to teach social, emotional, behavioral regulation.
• Provide group and/or individual counseling using evidence-based interventions.
• Conduct initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans and crisis management plans.
• Collaborate and consult with community-based providers, parents, component districts, colleagues and provide resources to meet student learning needs.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders.
• Record and report student progress.
