Job summary

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is seeking a licensed specialist in school psychology to provide psychological services in a school setting. The position requires a Master’s or higher in school psychology and Texas LSSP licensure (in progress or obtained).

The role involves counseling, case management, collaboration with educators and parents, and participation in IEP meetings. Strong teamwork and crisis intervention skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in school psychology/educational psychology or related field.
• Texas licensure as an LSSP (in process or obtained).
• Experience providing psychological services in a school setting (incl. LSSP internship).
• Knowledge of Special Education service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, or facilitative counseling for students referred by school personnel.
• Maintain case records on referred students.
• Confer with teachers and parents of students on request.
• Provide consultation to teachers and supervisors of the adaptive behavior program.
• Assist parents of emotionally disturbed students through consultation and facilitation of parent groups.
• Interpret school psychology services to staff and parents.
• Attend IEP meetings for emotionally disturbed and other special education students.
• Intervene with students in crises to reduce negative impact of stressful events.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
