Polk County Schools is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services for students, families, and staff at the Bartow area campus. The role involves consultation, assessment, counseling, and collaboration with Child Study Teams, with emphasis on ethical practice and evidence-based interventions.

The position requires a Master's Degree in School Psychology and Florida certification as a specialist, plus NASP-aligned internship.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Psychology from an accredited college or university and Florida certification as a specialist in school psychology.
• One year's internship in accordance with NASP standards.
• Experience as a school psychologist is desirable; preference for graduates from accredited school psychology programs.

Responsabilités

• Consults with parents, students, outside agencies and school personnel, including Child Study Team discussions.
• Provides inservice education to school staff and parent/community groups.
• Attends staffings and case conferences and discusses results with families and educators.
• Adheres to NASP and Florida psychology ethics; performs duties as directed by administrators.
• Maintains documentation for services provided, including insurance/Medicaid claims whenever applicable.
