Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a school psychologist for a full-time, full-year contract near Smyrna, Delaware. The role focuses on assessments, interventions, and supporting student growth in collaboration with educators and families.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services and maintain confidential documentation in compliance with laws and guidelines. This is an in-person position scheduled to begin after a district meeting on August 7th.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid and current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for K-12 students.
• Ability to write thorough assessment reports and recommend interventions.
• Strong collaboration skills to engage with teachers, families, and other professionals.
• Understanding of IEP and 504 plan development and implementation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify educational, cognitive, and behavioral needs of students.
• Develop, recommend, and support intervention strategies to promote students’ academic, emotional, and social growth.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to help determine eligibility for special education services.
• Consult with educators, administrators, and families to support student learning outcomes.
• Support crisis situations and provide short-term counseling as needed.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of services and progress.
• Stay current on best practices and compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
