Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services is seeking a School Psychologist to join our team. You will provide counseling to students and families and collaborate with staff to support social and emotional development across the school ecosystem.

You will engage in multi-tiered supports and contribute to IEP development, while maintaining rigorous documentation and ethical standards. We value teamwork and dedication to improving outcomes for children and communities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology is required.
• Endorsement as School Psychologist per State DOE bylaws or eligible.
• Experience or training in pediatric mental health preferred.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining ethics and accountability.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with staff, parents, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services to students and parents.
• Participate in multi-tiered support for students with social/emotional/behavioral needs, including interdisciplinary meetings.
• Participate in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support social and emotional development in weekly meetings.
• Adhere to record keeping, eligibility, timelines and safeguards.
• Develop and maintain schedules to meet all required meetings and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing counseling services to students and their parents.
• Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social/emotional and behavioral needs, including participation in inter-disciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss the diagnosis and treatment of students.
• Participating in initial IEP and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with and coach families and staff, during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings, to support social and emotional development.
• Adhere to federal/state/local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines and procedural safeguards.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with all required meetings and services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology.
• Has obtained or is eligible for an endorsement as a School Psychologist as prescribed in the bylaws of the State Department of Education.
• Experience or specialized training in the field of pediatric mental health is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing.
• Has the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.
