  • Qualified and experienced in conducting special education evaluations.
  • Solid understanding of child development, educational interventions, and relevant community partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students, staff, and families.
  • Current Michigan Department of Education-approved School Psychologist credential.
  • Must meet all state requirements for special education evaluation.
Role Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive special education assessments, preparing detailed reports for team decision-making.
  • Advise and collaborate with staff on the selection and implementation of evidence-based interventions.
  • Assist with individualized programming recommendations for students in, or referred to, special education.
  • Consult on instructional and behavioral strategies for diverse learning needs.
  • Support school-wide initiatives to foster positive learning environments.
  • (For Lakewood/Freedom Acres/Ionia assignment) Provide additional support to existing psychologists as needed.
