Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) seeks a School Psychologist to join our Norfolk, VA team. You will provide counseling to students and families and participate in a multi-tiered support system to address social and emotional needs.

Responsibilities include supporting IEP development, collaborating with staff, maintaining records, and coordinating schedules for required meetings. A Master's in Psychology with state endorsement is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology is required.
• Endorsement as School Psychologist per state education bylaws is required or eligible.
• Experience or training in pediatric mental health is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with ethical standards.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with staff, parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services to students and their parents.
• Participate in multi-tiered systems of support for students with social/emotional needs.
• Participate in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support social and emotional development.
• Adhere to record-keeping, eligibility documentation and timelines.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to meet required meetings and services.
