Job summary

The Camden City School District seeks a School Psychologist to identify students needing behavioral health services and implement school-based supports, including assessments and individualized programs as part of the Child Study Team.

You will collaborate with principals, counselors, teachers and parents to promote student well-being and academic goals, participate in IEP planning, and ensure compliance with NJ regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with NJ School Psychologist Standard Certificate required.
• Alternate: Master's in Psychology with Emergency Certificate.
• Strong communication and computer literacy.
• Experience with low-income, underserved communities preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish or another language preferred.
• Driver's license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and help provide solutions for behavior and/or learning issues to maximize student achievement.
• Provide counseling and instructional support for students managing emotional, behavioral or social challenges.
• Help promote campus-wide initiatives that support wellness through communication, problem solving and self-regulation.
• Actively participate as a member of the Child Study Team in evaluating and implementing programs for students in need.
• Consult with district personnel and parents regarding student needs and interventions.
• Assist classroom teachers and principals in identifying behavioral health problems and developing IEPs.
