Job summary

Wake Preparatory Academy is accepting applications for a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role involves providing comprehensive psychology services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with IDEA and Child Find across campuses.

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree and an NC School Psychologist certificate, pass a background check, and may have 3+ years of experience. Compensation includes health benefits, PTO, and a 401k plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of school psychological services to children, including screening and assessment and designing remedial educational programs.
• Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility for services and appropriate programming.
• Implement procedures to meet IDEA/Child Find compliance for identification and placement.
• Consult with education professionals to support academic achievement and social development.
• Administer, score, and interpret clinical assessments for students suspected of having a disability.
• Collaborate with SST and site teams; provide input to teachers, parents, and administrators.
• Maintain student special education records in compliance with IDEA; re-evaluate on a triennial cycle.
• Travel may be required between campuses; other duties as assigned.
